After a tough year with only online classes, we were so glad to welcome the new batch of MPH students on site at EHESP Paris.
On 27 August, more than 62 students from all over the world (MPH year 1 and year 2) attended the Introduction Day, respecting of course, all corona measures that need to be taken.
We were also very honored to welcome Pr. James Thomas, Department of Epidemiology at the UNC, Gilling School of Public Health, as a guest speaker. Pr. Thomas shared with us a very inspiring, erudite and educational speech on the subject of “Systems thinking”.
He is also involved in the MPH program as coordinator of the Global Health module.
This Intro Day was the opportunity for our incoming students to meet Pr. Odessa Petit dit Dariel (head of the MPH year 1) and Pr. Florence Bodeau-Livinec (head of the MPH year 2) as well as some EHESP teachers, the MPH staff, and the PHIN association (MPH student association).
After an icebreaker organised by the PHIN members based on a cultural quizz about Paris, the students took an EHESP campus and neighbourhood tour to discover where they will be spending the next 2 years.
We wish them much success in their studies at EHESP !
